While the ability to write and run SAS programs on a high speed Unix server may be desirable for some students, others may opt to run smaller SAS programs in a more user-friendly (Windows-only) development environment.

StatMart Upgrades Made
"Cruncher", a two-cpu, dual-core Sun Fire V490 Server has recently replaced StatMart as an ITS "high performance computing" platform for research and statistical computing. This machine will provide users with a number of improved capabilities on the older machine.

Statistical Support Expanded
Statistical Support at BU has been expanded this fall to include SAS and SPSS classes being offered in October and Statistical Programming consulting being offered weekly.
