Spam: How can you reduce unwanted email in your inbox?
Join Tom Blake and Tunis Cooper for a short presentation on tools, techniques and tricks you can use to reduce unwanted email. They’ll also discuss ways you can use your mail client to filter the mail in your inbox so that important messages are spotted quickly.

Proposed Changes in Security for Wireless Network Outside Residence Halls
Faculty, staff, students who live off-campus and visitors who use the wireless network are accustomed to seeing the Bluesocket logon screen when they first fire up a web browser. ITS is proposing to replace Bluesocket with Campus Manager. Several ITS networking staff will demonstrate the change, discuss the technical effects of that change and provide users with the opportunity to explore the consequences of the change.

ITS Bytes ’n Bites Returns This Thursday, Sept. 13
Information Technology Services announces the return of Bytes ’n Bites, a casual forum for discussion of technology issues for the Binghamton University community. The first forum of the year, to be held from noon - 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, in LH-10, will be Mirapoint: Binghamton’s new e-mail system.

Statistical Support at BU has been expanded this fall to include SAS and SPSS classes being offered in October and Statistical Programming consulting being offered weekly.

Wolfram Education Group now offers free, live, online seminars to all Mathematica customers worldwide. Taught by experienced Wolfram Research staff, these one-hour presentations are given twice weekly.
