Blackboard Update for Sept. 9, 2009

As of 4:30 pm on Tuesday, September 8, some additional configuration changes suggested by Blackboard Support have been applied. Performance has improved somewhat.

Computer and network resources are not the reason for the slowdown we’ve been experiencing. Blackboard has elevated our situation to the highest level. We continue to monitor the system and analyze logs around periods of poor performance. Blackboard and BU technical staff are working diligently to identify the causes for the problems. Blackboard and BU management and technical support have been and will continue to conference every morning until the problem is resolved. You can expect additional configuration changes. We may have to take the system down and restart it for some changes to take effect.
