In response to Microsoft's recent release of the new Internet Explorer 8 (IE 8) web browser, Information Technology Services recommends that you do not install it at this time. Web applications such as Oracle and Banner have not yet been verified to be compatible with this new version of IE.

Microsoft has not yet released IE 8 via the Windows Automatic Update service, so no action is necessary to block it from being installed on your computer.
