It Takes an HOUR to Print This …
Students sometimes complain that it takes a very long time to print some materials published in Blackboard courses. PowerPoint slide presentations and pdf documents can sometimes become HUGE files when sent to printers.

The problem is not Blackboard; nor is it the printers in Science Library. Rather, the problem is primarily with the documents themselves. Faculty who prepare materials for publication can avoid some common pitfalls in saving and publishing the files that will make the documents easier to print quickly. Students can also exercise some options when printing to speed things up.

We’ll document the problem, explore alternatives and enjoy lunch together.
