The Computer Pods and Information Commons across campus will continue to
use the Microsoft Windows XP Professional operating system. This
includes the University Downtown Center and all Multimedia classrooms
with installed Windows computers.

The Microsoft Office in use in public areas will remain at Office 2003.
Files created in the new Office 2007 can be opened for printing and
viewing on all public computers through the use of the Microsoft Office
Compatibility Pack. For more information on the compatibility pack

These versions will remain constant for the Fall semester with further
