Even though ITS now supports Microsoft Windows Vista on personal and office computers, we do not intend to convert all public labs and classroom computers to this operating system. ITS will continue to use Windows XP Professional in Pod Classrooms, multimedia classrooms, Information Commons and other public labs for all of fall semester, 2007.

Similarly, Microsoft Office 2003 will remain the installed suite in these areas. Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007 file formats is installed in these areas to permit users to read, edit and save files in the format used by the Office 2007 suite.
