Mutliple Computing Resources Unavailable Saturday, July 28

Due to installation of new air conditioning to support a server farm adjacent to the ITS operations area in the Computer Center, all computer and network equipment housed in Operations will be powered down and unavailable from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sat. July 28, 2007.

The shutdown will impact a number of computing systems. Many services will be unavailable including:

  • Blackboard
  • Network file storage (H: drive)
  • Pharos quota printing
  • University web pages
  • Electronic mail (both Exchange and regular e-mail)
  • Administrative systems (BUSI and Oracle)
  • Pod computers
  • Access to Library electronic resources from on-and off-campus
