Accessing Email
Accessing Your Email
If you have an electronic mailbox on the Binghamton University mail server or one of the exchange servers, you can access your email in several ways.
Macintosh and Windows
You can access your email directly from a microcomputer (Macintosh or Windows) using whatever email client you prefer. For more information on setting up your email client see our Guide to Email Setup, Aliases and Forwarding.Bingsuns
If you have a BINGSUNS account you can access your electronic mailbox from BINGSUNS by using the Pine email package. This method requires that you first logon to BINGSUNS. Students can get their BINGSUNS account information through BUSI. Faculty and staff should go to the Help Desk for this information.Web
You can access your email directly from the Web by going to the Binghamton University Webmail site using your favorite web browser. This can be very convenient if you want to read your email away from campus or home because no additional software beyond a Web browser is needed. More information is available in our Mirapoint Web Mail document.
